Terms and Conditions of the QlikView.work website
Version 1.0, in force since 12 October 2026.
These Terms govern access to and use of the website qlikview.work (the "Site"). By browsing the Site or submitting the contact form, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Who provides the service
The Site is made available by QUICKBYTES, UNIPESSOAL LDA, legal entity no. 517717301, with registered office at Avenida Elias Garcia, n.ยบ 141-B, 1050-050 Lisbon, Portugal ("Quickbytes", "we"). Contact: geral@quickbytes.pt. Website: quickbytes.pt.
2. What the Site is
The Site presents QlikView.work, the Quickbytes platform that reproduces QlikView applications on PostgreSQL, Parquet and DuckDB, and lets you request a demo.
The Site has no user accounts, sells nothing online and processes no payments. The only interaction available is the contact form, with which you ask us for a demo.
3. What the Site is not
The information on the Site is not a contractual offer, nor legal, financial or technical advice for your specific case. The timelines, savings and features described are indicative and depend on a prior assessment. Any commitment by Quickbytes arises only from a written proposal accepted by both parties.
Submitting the contact form creates no obligation for you or for us. We may decline to follow up on a request, for example when it falls outside our scope of work.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- submit through the form false data, data about third parties without their consent, or content that is unlawful, offensive or promotional;
- attempt to access systems or data you are not entitled to, overload the Site, introduce malicious code or bypass the protections against abuse;
- copy, reproduce or reuse the texts, images and design of the Site without written permission, beyond what the law allows;
- use the Site in an automated way to collect data or submit forms.
5. Contact form
The form asks only for the data strictly needed to reply to you: name, work email, organisation, approximate number of QlikView applications in use and a free-text message. You must provide true data that you are entitled to share. We reply to the email address you provide. How we handle that data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, the QlikView.work brand, the texts, infographics, design and code are the property of Quickbytes or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property rights. Third-party trademarks mentioned on the Site, such as QlikView, Qlik Cloud, PostgreSQL, DuckDB and Apache Parquet, belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products they refer to. There is no affiliation with those owners unless expressly stated.
7. Links to other websites
The Site contains links to third-party websites, for example cited sources and Quickbytes pages. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
8. Availability and changes
We do what is reasonable to keep the Site running, but we do not guarantee continuous availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.
9. Warranties and liability
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty as to the accuracy, currency or fitness of the information for any purpose.
Quickbytes is not liable for decisions you take, or fail to take, based on the information on the Site, nor for damage resulting from the unavailability of the Site or of third-party websites we link to.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for damage to life, health or physical integrity, or any rights that Portuguese or European Union law grants you and that cannot be waived by contract.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The version in force, with its date, is always available at qlikview.work/terms. Continuing to use the Site after a change means that you accept the new Terms.
11. Communications
You can contact us at geral@quickbytes.pt. For questions about personal data, use the same address with the subject "Data protection".
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of the district of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to the forum imposed by law when you are a consumer.
In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, in particular the Lisbon Consumer Conflict Arbitration Centre, or consult the list of bodies on the Consumer Portal. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform. The electronic Complaints Book is available online.
13. Final provisions
If any clause of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining clauses remain in force. Our failure to exercise a right does not mean that we waive it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quickbytes about the use of the Site. In the event of any discrepancy between the Portuguese version and any translation, the Portuguese version prevails.
